  • What is the Asia Pastry Forum? When and where will it take place?
    Asia Pastry Forum is an annual pastry workshop with the world-class visiting guest chefs and participants from more than 40 countries. The yearly workshops are facilitated by various MOF Patissiers, Master Pastry Chefs, Master Chocolatier, World Pastry Champion, Executive Pastry Chefs and etc. This year's event starts on 1st November and ends on the 18th November, at Academy of Pastry and Culinary Arts (APCA Malaysia).
  • How can I register for the Asia Pastry Forum?
    You can register for the Asia Pastry Forum by visiting the "Registration" page on our website. Simply follow the instructions provided to select your preferred workshop(s) and/or demo class(es), and complete the registration form.
  • What types of tickets are available?
    We offer several ticket options, including packages for hands-on workshops and demo classes. Each hands-on workshop is USD1000, and each demo class is USD200.   • Are there any recommended accommodations or nearby hotels?
    Nearby the venue are the budget Sunrise Hotel, Armada PJ Hotel (4-star), and Hilton PJ Hotel (5-star).
  • What is included with my ticket purchase?
    With your ticket purchase, you will receive: Chef Jacket: A chef jacket in your size choice, perfect for participating in hands-on workshops. Recipe Book: A comprehensive recipe book containing detailed instructions and recipes from the workshop or class you attend. This is a great resource for recreating the pastries at home. Additionally, your ticket includes access to all general event areas and any provided refreshments or materials during the event.
  • What are the payment methods available?

  • What time do the workshops and demo classes start and end?
    Our hands-on workshops begin at 9:00 AM and end at 5:00 PM. Demo classes also start at 9:00 AM, but the end time can vary depending on the schedule set by the masterchefs. We recommend checking the specific details for each session in advance for the most accurate timing.
  • Are there any requirements or prerequisites for participating in the workshops?
    No specific requirements or prerequisites are needed to attend our workshops. Whether you're an experienced pastry professional or new to the industry, our sessions are designed to be accessible and beneficial to everyone. Feel free to join us and explore new skills and techniques!
  • Asia Pastry Forum is under HRD Corp Claimable Courses. What is HRD Corp Claimable about?
    HRD Corp Claimable Courses is a dedicated programme designed to assist employers in retraining and upskilling their employees in line with their operational and business requirements. All hands-on workshop and demo classes are under HRD Corp Claimable this year.
  • What is the requirements for this?
    The employer must be already registered under HRD Corp (Human Resource Development Corporation). 90% of workshop's fee is claimable under HRD Corp and remaining balance payment to be borne by employer before training starts for all hands-on workshop / demo class. Application must be submitted by employers before the training starts in order to obtain grant approval.
  • How much can I claim from APF for workshops and demo classes?
    Employee can claim up to RM3,900.00 per workshop and/or demo class.
  • What is the process of HRD Corp Claims?
    Reach out to Juanita, PIC of APF for HRD Corp Claims. She will provide you with supporting documents for your application (Event poster, quotation, trainer profiles, course content and other necessary forms and documents) You or the PIC of your company will have to login to employer’s eTRiS account, and fill up the Grant Application Form via the system (https://etris.hrdcorp.gov.my/) Wait for grant approval from HRD Corp. The application status will be updated via the employer’s dashboard, email, and the e-TRiS inbox. After the approval, email Juanita the approved grant application, and arrange APF remaining fees payment. After the workshop, fill up JD14 Form and attendance form with Juanita.   • How long does HRD Corp to process the application?
    Usually it is 3-4 business days. The application may be queried if additional information is required.
  • What is the success rate for approval?
    If all necessary documents are provided, and application form is filled correctly, the chance is high.
